This page describes the 'Dannotate' web annotation
client that is being developed by the
eResearch Group as part of the DIAS-B project.
(The DIAS-B project is funded by the
Atlas of Living
Australia (ALA), and the software will become
part of the infrastructure of ALA.)
Dannotate is a suite of tools for creating annotations
for web pages and storing them in an Annotea server
such as Danno
The client-side of Dannotate is being implemented in
browser independent Javascript, and will support all
browser types including Firefox, Safari, Opera and
Internet Explorer. (Version details are still to be
finalised.) The client-side is designed to run as
non-trusted Javascript launched from a hosting website.

Dannotate availability
Dannotate is currently research prototype software, and is
not yet available on SourceForge. A snapshot can be
prototype can be downloaded from the
